Software Engineer (C++)

Job Overview

This position is responsible for creating and/or maintaining software applications for CA ARCserve product. Provide complex code modification, testing and debugging tasks. Provide high level analysis related to software design and development and solve problems.

Key Responsibilities

l  Design and code, often for the complex units/modules/products that meet functional and business requirements on schedule and within budget.

l  Fix bugs, add enhancements. Perform unit/module testing of software to find errors and confirm programs meet specifications.

l  Assist quality assurance team by providing assistance to testers and support personnel as needed to determine system problems.

l  Collaborate with quality assurance in creation of their test plans and participate in reviews.

l  Evaluate impact of software performance, and recommend changes to software design team.

l  Write and maintain documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.

l  Set up software configuration control and software development environments including program source control to ensure reliable backups and source code integrity.

l  Participate in design and code reviews with other developers.

Skills and experience

1.      Deep understanding C/C++ with commercial software design and development experience.

2.      Deep understanding on Windows technologies, especially working experience on multithreading, IPC, socket and RPC.

3.      Good communication and collaboration skills

4.      Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

5.      Strong object-oriented programming experience.

6.      Strong sense of quality.

7.      Excellent troubleshooting skills.

8.      Has passion for solving complex problems. Working smart and good learning ability.

9.      C# programming experience is a big plus.

10.  SharePoint, Exchange or SQL Server administration and programming experience is a big plus.

11.  Experience in international software development working environment is a plus.

Preferred Education

Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in Computer Science or related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent is a plus.
